"This is a Historical Record of the Old Chicago Council on Global Affairs Website. Are you Looking for the Current Site?"

Midwestimmigration.org was website devoted to immigration reform in the early 10s. It was a project of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs (CGGA). If you want to see CGGA’s current immigration project, they brought it in house as opposed to having a separate website, you can click here.

Our plan is to recreate the website as it is an interesting example of the push for immigration reform in the mid-to-late part of President Obama’s presidency when proponents of immigration reform had the presidency, the Senate, but not the House of representatives. Correspondingly, this effort failed. No major immigration bills have passed since 1996.

The website will be back soonish. In the meantime, you can contact us.
